The goal

Clear every tile from the board by taking matching pairs of birds. There's no clock and no way to lose, so take your time.

Taking a pair

1. Pick a free tile. A tile is free when no tile sits on top of it and its left or right side is open.
2. Pick its twin. Tap a second free tile showing exactly the same bird. Both leave the board.
3. Changed your mind? Tap the selected tile again to let it go, or tap a different bird to switch.

Help is free

• Hint shows a pair you can take right now.
• Undo puts the last pair back, with its points.
• Out of pairs? You'll be offered a Shuffle, which re-deals the birds left on the board so there's always a way to finish. If no deal could work, Restart Board starts this board again.

Reading the board

• Free Bright and raised. You can pick it.
• Selected Lifted, with a thick ring and a ✓ badge.
• Blocked Faded, with diagonal stripes. It is covered or boxed in on both sides.
• Hint A dashed ring and a “?” badge.

Look closely

Two dark birds look alike at a glance, but they are different tiles and don't match each other.

Controls

Touch or mouse: tap or click a tile. On a big board that's zoomed in, drag or swipe to look around, and use − / Fit / + to zoom.

Screen readers hear each tile's bird, whether it's free, selected, blocked or covered, and a short description such as “slim bill, pine boughs”.

Sound and animation

Music, sound effects and animations are each optional and set separately in Settings. With all of them off, the game plays exactly the same.
